A pertinent verse (or two)
Habakkuk has a wonderful verse that is quite applicable to my life right now ~ at least, it's a wonderful verse that I am trying to live out in my life right now:
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
~Habakkuk 3:17-18
There is a wonderful blog entry that I found about this verse.
I'm so very glad that I am Reformed. I absolutely could not handle my life right now if I were not. I simply do not know how people make it through rough times without strong faith.
I would love to blog more, but it would all sound whiny. How unattractive would THAT be?
(Very.)
You look awesome. As though that is consolation for the rough times, but I had to throw it in there.
Love, love, love that verse (as you would guess from my blog address!).
God bless you as you carry on, dear one.
Have I given you my CS Lewis quote? He just had a knack with words.
"'It will drive us mad,' 'it will kill us outright,' we say, and then it happens and we find ourselves neither mad nor dead, still held to the task."
